Abstract
This paper has been based on the daily sampling, of the sea water at
Constanta between 1980 and 1993 and analyses the seasonal and temporal
variations of the main abiotic factors (salinity, oxygen content,
phosphate, silicate) in an area strongly affected by significant
anthropical pressures in the southern part of the Romanian Black Sea
littoral. The paper completes the picture of the main abiotic factors
dynamics made up on the basis of systematic daily observations over
more than three decades and shows the clear tendency of the decrease
of dissolved silicon concentration after 1981, the rather high level
of mineral phosphorus remaining close to that of 1970-1979, while the
oxygenation degree of the sea water has been slightly improved after
1985.
