Abstract
This paper outlines the general image of the present condition trends
of the fishery resources at the Black Sea Romanian littoral, on the
basis of a comparative analysis of the period 1990-1993. It includes
the results regarding the assessment of sprat agglomeration biomass,
of the number of eggs, larvae and juveniles with summer spawning, the
assessment of spawner biomass as well as the hydrocaustic assessment
of fishable agglomerations. The fluctuations of the obviously
diminishing stocks have been noticed and the data presented show the
consequences of un-proper exploitation of the fishery resources
simultaneously with the deterioration of the ecological condition.
This paper presents the measures proposed by its authors aiming at a
sustainable protection and management of the living resources either
at a national and regional level.
