p. 67 - 84 CONTRIBUTION A LA CONNAISSANCE DE LA FAUNE ICHTYOLOGIQUE ET DE CEPHALOPODES DU SECTEUR SOUS-ANTARCTIQUE DE L'OCEAN ATLANTIQUE DU SUD-EST N.C. Papadopol et Cornelia Maxim Institut Roumain de Recherches Marines Constanta Abstract The paper presents the results of the sampling fishery carried out during the Russian-Romanian survey between 15.02 and 11.03.1982, in the area 40 degree 56'-53 degree 14'S/5 degree 26'W-15 degree 20'E. That survey made evident 52 fauna elements belonging to groups PISCES and CEPHALOPODA. For fishes, 42 species belonging to 18 families have been identified during fihery, to which are to be added some unidentified specimens belonging to Bothidae and Soleidae families, namely to 6 orders of Achinopterigii sub-class of Osteychthes class. For cephalopods, 10 species belonging to seven families and 2 orders have been identified. Besides the aspects regarding the fishery structure and productivity, this paper brings some new elements about the biology of the most important meso-pelagic species of Gonostomatidae and Myctophidae of the region.
