Zhigunenko 2) 1) Institut Roumain de Recherches Marines Constanta 2) YugNIRO Kerch Abstract This paper presents the spatial distribution of the fish population during spring and the impact of the environment conditions, on the basis of two cruises carried out in April of 1991 and 1992. The environment conditions were similar for the two years considered and favourable to fishing agglomerations. The catch structure by species shows that sprat and Black Sea whiting are dominant in catches as they are in the Romanian fishery as well. The distribution of the fish shoals was similar, but the density per surface unit was different.
