p. 119 - 136 INVESTIGATIONS BIOCHIMIQUES, HISTOLOGIQUES ET HISTOENZYMOLOGIQUES SUR L'EFFET HEPATOPROTECTEUR DES FRACTIONS METAL-PROTEINES A FAIBLE POIDS MOLECULAIRE, ISOLLES DE MYTILUS GALLOPROVINCIALIS LMK. Maria Mirza 1), A. Abraham 2) 1) Institute Roumain de Recherches Marines Constanta 2) Centre de Recherches Biologiques Cluj-Napoca Abstract Metal binding proteins with a low molecular weight, isolated from Mytilus galloprovincialis(whole body) presented a moderate protecteur effect upon liver of white Wistar rat intoxified with carbon tetra- chloride (CCl4), comparative with Sylimarine - Biofarm drug action. In lots of normal, intoxified-treated rats had been determined by hystological and hystochemical methods: total lipids, L-lactat NAD+ - oxydoreductase (E.C.1.1.1.27), succinat dehydrogenase (E.C.1.3.99), ferrocytochrom: oxygen oxydoreductase (E.C.1.9.3.1), ATP - phospho- hydrolase (Mg dep.) (E.C.3.6.1.3); orthophosphomonoester phospho- hydrolase (E.C.3.1.3.2). Observations on relative weight modifica- tions and macroscopic aspects for liver, spleen, thymus gland, adrenal glands was effected. In blood serum was assayed cholesterol, FLL (free leucine like) of serum, L aspartat: 2 oxoglutarat amino- trasnferase (E.C.2.6.11), L alanin: 2 oxoglutarat aminotrasnferase (E.C.2.6.1.2), unspecific cholinestherase (E.C.3.1.1.8), orthophos- phomonoesther phosphohydrolase (E.C.3.1.3.1). The moderate hepato- protector effect of Mytilus extract was observed by reduction of hepatomegalia, returns of normal liver aspects and in some case returns on the studied parameters (serum cholinestherase).
