Abstract
The hydrological and meteorological observations carried out in the
summer of 1990 continued to show the presence of all the elements
which characterize a cold year, with intense upwelling. The cooling
trend of the offshore Mauritanian waters noted since 1988 has been
confirmed by the extension in time of the "passate" winds and water
temperature of 15 degrees C southern to 17 degrees N lat.
