Abstract
The paper presents the stages of ice formation during
January-March 1985 1985 period in the nearshore zone
and the hydrological and meteorological conditions that
favoured the primary ice formation and then determined
the appearence of the secondary sea ice field mixed with
river originating the floes. The results of the investiga-
tions on the vertical haline structure of the ice and its 
evolution in time are also presented.
