Scapharca inaequivalvis (BRUGUIERE) -  A NEW
SPECIES IN THE BLACK SEA

Abstract
The paper presents the bivalve Scapharca inaequivalvis (BRUGUIERE)
- a new species for the Black Sea and the Romanian littoral.
The author, based on the analysis of live samples and numerous
shells collected on Mamaia beach in March 1984, considers that
the new colonist penetrated into the Black Sea in 1980-1981.
