FISH SPECIES IN THE ATLANTIC OCEAN LITTLE
USING IN PROCESSING

Abstract
This paper presents the results of the scientific researches
on the fish species Sardinella maderensis, Pagellus belloti, 
Euthynnus allecteratus, Stromateus fiatola and Plectorhynchus
mediterraneum caught in the summer of 1982 on the north-western
Africa coast and which have been investigated either fresh and 
frozen. There have been determined the ratio between the main
body component parts, the processing efficinecy as trunks or
fillets and the total bio-chemical composition of fish meat.
As these species participate with a small share in the catches
of the Romanian trawlers but have good qualities, we have tried
to prepare some food products.
