Udrea Institut Roumain de Recherches Marines Constanta Abstract In order to establish the body growth characteristics in the 3rd summer of the Mugil auratus the experiments were performed in a 1.5 ha area pond. At the begining of the experiments the specimens had a mean body weight of 42.32 g per pice and after 180 days had reached a mean weight of 231.75 g per piece. It means a daily increase of 1.05 g with a total of 189 for theexperi- ment time. Those values are very closed by those obtained in the Italian lagoons with the same species.
