Abstract
In order to establish the body growth characteristics
in the 3rd summer of the Mugil auratus the experiments
were performed in a 1.5 ha area pond. At the begining
of the experiments the specimens had a mean body weight
of 42.32 g per pice and after 180 days had reached a
mean weight of 231.75 g per piece. It means a daily
increase of 1.05 g with a total of 189 for theexperi-
ment time. Those values are very closed by those
obtained in the Italian lagoons with the same species.
