p. 271 - 284 SOME PECULIARITIES OF Rhodomonas lens PASH IN SEA WATER INFLUENCED BY OUTFALLS Pia-Elena Mihnea Romanian Marine Research Institute Constanta Abstract The accomodation capacity of Rhodomonas lens to develop its life cycle in sea water influenced by wastes is presented. The wastes additionated to sea water ranging within 1-20 ml% had satisfied nutritional requests of the species. The chlorophill a and cellular density were rather at the same level in the control and experimeded variants, too. The growth of both heterotrophic bacteria and Rhodomonas as well as the speed or the selectivity of different nitrogen compounds absorbation are discussed.
