p. 51 - 66 THE DANUBE RIVER CONTRIBUTION WITH WATER AND SILTS TO THE BLACK SEA Constantin Bondar and Ion State The Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology Bucuresti Abstract On the basis of the processing of the hydrometrical data stock accumulated between 1861-1975, the average multiannual values of the water discharge and the suspended silts discharge by the Danube river into the Black Sea are presented in the paper. For a period of 115 years the average value of the water discharge was 6283 mc/s (198.14 x 109? mc/yr) and that of the suspended silts discharge was 1569 kg/s (49.48 x 106? T/yr). It has been found that the tendency of the Danube water turbidity in the past years is its lowering.
