p. 155 - 163 SUR LA PROPAGATION DE LA CHALEUR DANS LES EAUX DE LA MER NOIRE Bondar Constantin Institut de Meteorologie et Hydrologie Bucarest Abstract A study on the temperature waves within the sea water mass for the time interval elapsed between 1959 and 1969 is reported; the study is bassed on the results of the oceanographic investigations and measurements carried out in the Black Sea along the Romanian coast by the former Waters State Committee. Direct measurements showed that the temperature of the various deep water layers changes periodically, having a variable amplitude and phase shift. By making use of the SCHMIDT-FOURIER proccess the annual average value of the heat propagation coefficient is determined for different depth horizons. It was found out that the vertical variation of the heat propagation coefficient in the sea water is of an exponential type. At the water surface, the value of the heat propagation coefficient is 36 sq.cm./sec.
