Abstract 
The paper discusses the results of researches regarding turbot repro-
duction on the platform facing the Romanian Black Sea coast, over the
1966-1969 years. The sex ratio, componence by size and weight of the
reproducing individuals, sexual maturity, fecondity, reproduction area
and time, dynamics of turbot population taking part in the reproduc-
tionprocess are analysed and the amount of fish species that can be 
exploited without affecting the reproduction stock is evaluated.
