Abstract 
Analysing the role of the Insects of the Romanian supralittoral of 
the Black Sea, this paper points out that these populations have been 
little studied. The author describes the most important insect popu-
lations of the supralittoral, supplying data on their repartition into
the functional groups and their importance in the trophic web.
